REDCAT is a 7,000 square foot state-of-the-art black box performance
space, a 3,000 square foot exhibition space, and lounge located
in the Walt Disney Concert Hall complex in downtown Los Angeles.
It is CalArts’ downtown center for innovative visual, performing,
and media arts.
Funding to support the first U.S. solo exhibition by Dublin-based
artist Jesse Jones, whose short films focus on the political and
social history of cinema as cultural artifacts and commentaries
on contemporary everyday life. Scheduled for June 2011.
